Some Previous Happenings at evisa.com and JSL:

Mar 2001: The San Francisco based Visa International Service Association (credit cards) has filed suit against JSL Corporation in federal court, seeking to obtain the evisa.com domain name. For more information about this lawsuit, see our Lawsuit Information Page. (Note February 2002: defending this lawsuit has required a substantial portion of JSL Corporation's resources, greatly delaying development of the evisa.com site, including the Screenbook Computer Tutorial Library and the Screenbook Maker program.)

Jan 2001: JSL has begun development of a Screenbook Library for evisa.com. Screenbook tutorials are like picture books for teaching about computers, and are simpler and more effective than any other type of computer tutorial. Screenbook tutorials are created with JSL's patent pending Screenbook Maker software, also provided for free at the evisa.com and screenbooks.net sites. Currently offered in English only, screenbook tutorials on the site will eventually be translated into multiple languages.

April 2000: JSL has added World News Headlines and US Weather to the evisa.com site from moreover.com. (Note: These resources were removed in January 2002 pending development of new multilingual versions).

September 1999: JSL is providing a version of dmoz.org directory for evisa.com. The dmoz.org directory lists more than 3 million sites. JSL has arranged the directory by language for easier browsing by non-English speakers.

September 1999: JSL Corporation announces its expansion of services into Spanish and Russian, via the evisa.com site. JSL has been providing Japanese-English translation and website development through its website www.jserv.com since 1997.

May 1997: JSL launches EVISA English-Japanese translation service, website design, and web programming service at evisa-jp.com. JSL opens the EVISA J-Medline Gateway at healthy.pair.com - a Japanese language gateway service for the Medline database.
