Excel 2000 : Excel Basics    Hiding Columns  

In Microsoft Excel, if your worksheet has lots of columns and does not fit on the screen, you can hide columns to reduce the amount of data displayed on the screen. Also, if you have some confidential data that you do not want other people to see, you can hide the columns of that particular data.
